Frequently Asked Questions

How is your firm different than other wealth management firms?

We put you first, always. Your financial success is our priority. To help you achieve your goals, you will work with a knowledgeable portfolio manager who will manage your investments and, when needed, introduce you to vetted, trusted advisors in the fields of law, lending and insurance. Alternative investments—not available to the typical investor—will be accessible to you through Cornerstone Advisory.

Our client support staff will be available to assist you with your financial transactions to simplify every step. Customized reporting and an online portal will give you a clear understanding of your financial picture at any time.

Who is your typical client?

Whether your goal is to accumulate wealth, preserve wealth, navigate significant changes affecting your finances, or to make plans for the financial future of your children and grandchildren, we are here to guide you. Cornerstone Advisory clients include high-earning professionals, entrepreneurs, retirees, and multi-generational wealthy families.

How is your firm compensated?

We are here to be your advocate and to simplify your financial life. Our billing practice reflects this. We charge a percentage of the total assets managed by our firm and receive no commissions or fees when placing trades on your behalf.

What is a fiduciary?

We put your needs first because our mission is to help you achieve your financial goals. Cornerstone Advisory is a fiduciary, meaning we are legally bound to operate in your best interest. Not all wealth management firms are fiduciaries.

When I invest with you, where are my funds actually held?

After vetting multiple custodians, we chose to partner with Charles Schwab and TD Ameritrade because they offer robust platforms, competitive fees, and great customer service. Your funds will be held in accounts at these institutions.

How will we work together? What will my financial team look like?

You will start off by meeting with a portfolio manager so that he can assess your current financial situation and gain an understanding of your goals. Your portfolio manager will then make recommendations, invest and monitor your accounts, and introduce you to independent, vetted, trusted advisors to help with other key areas of your financial life such as law, lending and insurance. You can expect both in-person meetings and phone calls with your advisor. A dedicated client service staff is also available to ensure a smooth transition to our firm, as well as ongoing support for your financial transactions. You will be provided with online access to your accounts, our portal, and customized reporting.

Is there a minimum account size?

Our typical client has more than $1 million to invest while others have more than $100 million in investable assets.
